All of a sudden, the man smiled and nodded, and beckoned Keawe to enter, and met him at the door of the house.
“This is a fine house of mine,” said the man, and bitterly sighed. “Would you not care to view the chambers?”
So he led Keawe all over it, from the cellar to the roof (и он провел Кэаве по всему /дому/, от подвала до крыши = чердака; to lead), and there was nothing there that was not perfect of its kind (и не было там ничего, что не было бы по-своему совершенно = и все в нем было настолько совершенным), and Keawe was astonished (что Кэаве был изумлен).

So he led Keawe all over it, from the cellar to the roof, and there was nothing there that was not perfect of its kind, and Keawe was astonished.
“Truly,” said Keawe, “this is a beautiful house; if I lived in the like of it, I should be laughing all day long. How comes it, then, that you should be sighing?”
“There is no reason (нет никакой причины),” said the man, “why you should not have a house in all points similar to this, and finer, if you wish (почему бы вам не иметь дом, во всех отношениях похожий на этот, и /даже/ краше, если вы пожелаете; point – точка; пункт, момент). You have some money, I suppose (у вас есть деньги, я полагаю)?”
“I have fifty dollars (у меня есть пятьдесят долларов),” said Keawe; “but a house like this will cost more than fifty dollars (но такой дом: «но дом, похожий на этот» будет стоить побольше пятидесяти долларов).”
The man made a computation (мужчина что-то подсчитал: «произвел какое-то вычисление»; computation – исчисление; вычисление, подсчет).
“I am sorry you have no more (жаль: «я сожалею», что у вас нет больше /денег/),” said he, “for it may raise you trouble in the future (потому что у вас могут возникнуть проблемы в будущем; to raise – поднимать; вызывать, порождать; trouble – беспокойство, тревога; затруднение, неприятность); but it shall be yours at fifty dollars (но это будет вашим за пятьдесят долларов).”
“The house (дом)?” asked Keawe (спросил Кэаве).

“There is no reason,” said the man, “why you should not have a house in all points similar to this, and finer, if you wish. You have some money, I suppose?”
“I have fifty dollars,” said Keawe; “but a house like this will cost more than fifty dollars.”
The man made a computation.
“I am sorry you have no more,” said he, “for it may raise you trouble in the future; but it shall be yours at fifty dollars.”
“The house?” asked Keawe.
“No, not the house (нет, не дом),” replied the man (ответил мужчина); “but the bottle (а бутылка). For, I must tell you, although I appear to you so rich and fortunate (потому что, должен вам сказать, хотя я и кажусь вам таким богатым и удачливым; to appear – появляться, показываться; казаться, производить впечатление), all my fortune, and this house itself and its garden, came out of a bottle not much bigger than a pint
